I’m not a huge coffee drinker and got into chai a few years ago. Since then, I am SUPER picky about my chai. This is my favorite recipe for at-home chai that’s not too spicy and is the perfect hot or iced latte.
here’s what you’ll need:
+ 2/3 cup boiling water
+ 1/3 cup Javafrost Vanilla Chai
+ Trader Joes vanilla coconut beverage (or any kind of milk- this is just my favorite)
+ a frother (optional)
directions:
- Bring the water to a boil and pour into a large mug (I usually guess an amount and measure after it’s boiling because water boils down).
- Add the Javafrost chai powder and froth until blended.
- Add in desired amount of coconut beverage or milk and froth again.
If I serve it over ice, I usually put it in the fridge for a while to cool it down so it doesn’t immediately melt the ice cubes. If I want to serve it hot, I pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds and that’s it! Super easy and delish.
